Róisín Mc Daid is the founder of Coast Mediation and Consultancy in Cork and an Accredited Mediator with the Mediators’ Institute of Ireland. She is also a CORU-registered Social Care Worker, reflecting her commitment to professional regulation, safeguarding, and best practice. With extensive experience supporting families in conflict through her work in the social care sector, Róisín is dedicated to providing a high-quality mediation service that delivers effective, sustainable outcomes.

Róisín has a strong professional and academic background in Human Resources, Employment Law, Management, Family Law and Child Development. She holds a Diploma in Mediation and a Diploma in Employment Law from Technological University of Dublin. In addition Roisin holds a Masters in Management from University College Cork and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Care from Munster Technological University. Her strong academic background and keen commitment to continuous professional development ensures that Róisín’s approach is always aligned with best practice and optimal result.

Róisín has held leadership positions throughout her professional career in the Social Care sector and has a strong understanding and passion for the role of mediation in addressing conflict in workplace settings. She has worked with organisations such as the HSE, Brothers of Charity, Citizens Information and Barnardos Childrens Charity and is currently a Council Member of the Mediators Institute of Ireland, the leading professional association of mediators in Ireland.

Róisin’s knowledge and experience of Irish Employment Law places her in a valuable position to assist organisations in managing workplace conflict in a manner that is focused on reaching a successful resolution for all involved parties.

In her private life, Róisín is a loving part of a blended family of six and has personally experienced the challenges and emotional dynamics involved in family separation and divorce. Her personal exposure to family mediation and the family law courts has deepened her understanding of legal processes and the value of mediation in resolving disputes constructively. She is passionate about using her personal and professional experience to help families, individuals and businesses to find lasting and amicable solutions tailored to their unique circumstances.
