Separation and Divorce Mediation

At Coast Family Mediation, we provide expert mediation services for individuals and families navigating relationship breakdowns, including separations, divorces, and civil partnership dissolutions. Our goal is to offer a supportive, professional, and effective process tailored to your unique circumstances.

Róisín brings a wealth of knowledge and extensive experience in helping families through crises and significant life transitions. Her expertise ensures that clients receive a personalised, best-practice mediation service that prioritises their needs and promotes constructive outcomes.

Through skilled facilitation, separating couples are guided to make important decisions and reach agreements on key issues, including:

  • Parenting arrangements and children’s wellbeing
  • Division of the family home and assets
  • Financial considerations
  • Custody of pets
  • Any other matters requiring resolution

The mediation process is designed to empower separating couples to collaborate in a respectful and solution-focused manner. By fostering open communication and mutual understanding, Róisín helps clients work through even the most sensitive and complex matters with confidence.

At the conclusion of the process, Coast Family Mediation provides a professionally drafted mediation agreement. This document can serve as the foundation for a formal Separation Agreement or Decree of Divorce, ensuring clarity and legal recognition of the agreements reached.

Let Coast Family Mediation help you navigate this challenging time with compassion, expertise, and a focus on building a brighter future for all involved.

Co- Parenting Support & Mentoring

At Coast Mediation, we understand that being involved in family court proceedings can be one of the most stressful experiences for any parent. This service is designed to support parents who are working through challenging court processes or have been directed by the court to engage in mentoring while establishing new parenting arrangements, such as custody, access, and shared parenting plans.

Led by a CORU-Registered Social Care Worker and Accredited Separating Couples Mediator (currently completing a Diploma in Family Law with the Law Society of Ireland), the service provides a safe, supportive, and structured space to help parents make meaningful, positive changes for the benefit of their children.

Drawing on experience with Barnardos and Children’s Disability Teams, Róisín offers a child-centred, trauma-informed, and solution-focused approach. Parents are supported to move from conflict toward cooperation, even when emotions are high and trust feels difficult to rebuild.

Through practical guidance and reflective mentoring, parents are supported to:

  • Improve communication and reduce conflict

  • Develop realistic, sustainable co-parenting arrangements

  • Strengthen parent–child relationships

  • Navigate custody and access discussions constructively

  • Meet court expectations with support and accountability

The focus is always on helping parents prioritise their children’s wellbeing, reduce stress, and build a more stable, cooperative family dynamic during and after the court process.
